Building Momentum for the Holliston Bike Park

Blackstone Valley NEMBA sees trails and riding spaces as places where people connect, learn, and spend meaningful time outdoors. The Holliston Bike Park reflects that purpose and is moving into an important phase for the chapter and the town.

A Community Effort With Deep Roots

The idea for a bike park in Holliston has taken shape through years of discussion, planning, and collaboration. Residents, town staff, and local advocates have worked together through public meetings, site visits, and feedback sessions to identify a location and a vision that fits the community.

That progress was on display during Holliston First Night. Despite cold conditions that limited attendance, families and neighbors walked the trails, gathered along the route, and visited the future bike park site near Woodland Street. Those moments of participation matter. They show that the project has local interest and visible support.

Why This Moment Counts

The project is approaching a review period with the town Community Preservation Committee. At this stage, public backing plays a central role. Committees and town boards look for evidence that residents value a project and are willing to stand behind it over the long term.

For a community park, that support helps demonstrate future use, stewardship, and relevance. It also helps decision makers understand that the project serves a broad audience rather than a narrow group.

Turning Support Into Visible Progress

To help show that backing in a clear and transparent way, a community fundraising effort is underway. The initial goal is not to cover the full cost of construction. The focus is on participation and visibility. Each donation and share helps illustrate that the bike park has momentum and community belief behind it.

This early support strengthens the overall case for the project as it moves through town review and planning steps.

Looking Ahead

The Holliston Bike Park aligns with Blackstone Valley NEMBA’s mission to expand access, support safe places to ride, and encourage outdoor recreation for riders of all ages. As the project continues through the approval process, continued engagement from members and the wider community will remain important.

We will share updates as new milestones are reached. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far and helped move this project forward through steady, collective effort.
