About Blackstone Valley NEMBA

Who We Are

Blackstone Valley NEMBA (BVNEMBA) is a dedicated chapter of the New England Mountain Bike Association. Nestled in the heart of the Blackstone Valley, our mission is to promote responsible mountain biking, protect and enhance trail systems, and foster a vibrant, inclusive biking community.

Since our inception, BVNEMBA has been a driving force behind the region’s trail stewardship, advocacy, and community engagement efforts. From organizing group rides to maintaining some of the most scenic and technical trails in New England, we aim to inspire riders of all skill levels to connect with the outdoors and each other.

Our Mission

To create unforgettable riding experiences by promoting sustainable mountain biking practices and protecting the trails that make them possible.

At BVNEMBA, we believe in:

  • Sustainability: Preserving the natural beauty of our trails through responsible riding and maintenance.
  • Community: Building an inclusive space where riders of all ages and skill levels feel welcome.
  • Adventure: Encouraging exploration of the Blackstone Valley’s diverse trail networks.
  • Advocacy: Ensuring continued access to trails through partnerships and outreach.
  • Education: Providing resources and training for safe, sustainable riding.

What We Do

Trail Stewardship

BVNEMBA volunteers play a critical role in maintaining over 15 trail networks across the region. From building new paths to repairing erosion, our trail work ensures that future generations of riders can enjoy the same breathtaking landscapes we do today.

Events & Rides

Throughout the year, we organize rides, races, and events like The Blackstone Ride Series, including the Summer Blackstone and VVinter Blackstone, to bring riders together. Whether you’re a beginner looking for a social ride or an experienced rider seeking technical challenges, we have something for everyone.

Advocacy & Partnerships

We work closely with local landowners, government agencies, and environmental organizations to advocate for trail access and sustainability. By fostering these partnerships, BVNEMBA ensures that mountain biking remains a respected and cherished activity in the region.

Building Community

Through events, volunteer opportunities, and educational programs, we connect riders with a shared love for the outdoors. We’re proud to host inclusive programs like women’s rides, youth clinics, and adaptive biking events to welcome all riders.
